- Battery usage : Battery has been 'better' than older versions, somehow I believe the built E did something to this. After using the phone for some days, and using it at work, where the reception for my carrier is horrible, I would lose a lot of battery just looking for signal. Now I leave work with 10% or more, compared to 0%(dead) that I used to get 5.0.1.
- UI :
-- Calendar : Nicer lines, dividers, some images, I think it makes easier to navigate in the calendar.
-- Messenger : Took away the profile images from G+ for your contacts, now you have to assign your own(is there a way I can enable this back?)
System :
- I can finally notice a crispiness(request/response) between components, i.e;
- Apps have a smoother transitions between functions.
- System seems switch between apps faster and with less lag.
- Less lag in the music and videos reproduction.
- Camera : The new focus cursor works better, but the auto focus still not that great.
---- Picture : No sun light, no flash. Reduced to 40% size.
Coming from six years of iOS and one of Windows Phone, when I got this, my first Android, the Nexus 6 using Lollipop 5.0. Since the beginning 5.0 was missing that stability on the systems and apps, but as a software engineer, it felt like those were bugs and other missing small components that could be fixed, the question then became why did Google release such software at that time. Anyways after trying this new update, I finally believe that Android has enough stability to fight against iOS(finally). I believe that if I were to make my own ROM this would be a good base built to start.
Great work with this update, so far.
